Week 3: Goal Setting Check In

Going on 3 weeks with this plan (you can read week 1 and week 2 updates), and my mindset has definitely taken a shift! I’m not thinkings so much about food being “good” or “bad”, but more about it being “enjoyable”.

My main goal while reading this book was to have more energy!! One thing that I have been extremely focused on is hydration. Joel Marion states, “Water helps digest your food, expel wastes, regulate your temperature, protect your tissues, cushion your joints, and protect your spinal column, among many other vital functions. It is through water that hormones flow to the proper organs, that nutrients reach all cells, and that toxins are diluted and removed from the body.”

Another part of the book that I’m enjoying is the simple and delicious recipes. The No Bake Salted Carmel Bars (pictured above) are so delicious, healthier than an alternative, and easy to make!. I’m learning that I can snack and enjoy a treat without feeling overly guilty about it!

Based on surprising science, Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night.
