Blog-tember Challenge Day 1: All About Me

It’s September 1!  It’s September???  Whoa!  2016 needs to slow down!  I decided to join forces with Bailey Jean over at Brave Love Blog for her Blog-tember challenge.  Basically, she has provided us with a month of fun prompts!  I may miss a few, but I thought this would be a fun challenge for me and for you all to follow along with.

Day 1: Introduce yourself

Hi!  It’s me, Elizabeth.  Not Beth….I won’t even acknowledge you if you try…..Not ignoring or being rude, it’s just not my name and I don’t think you are talking to me.  I may answer to Liz (only because a select few have called me that in my life).  I could give you a long essay “about me”, but you can find that here.  Instead, I thought I’d tell you some fun facts you may not know (or maybe you think you know, but don’t).

1. Coffee or tea? Coffee (but only foo foo coffee) or Hot Chocolate
2. Black and white or color?  Usually Color
3. Drawings or paintings?  Paintings
4. Dresses or skirts? Skirts at the moment because I’m still nursing and dresses are just too difficult for all that.
5. Books or movies?  Movies for entertainment…..Books for education and personal growth.
6. Pepsi or Coke? Diet Coke.
7. Chinese or Italian? Italian.
8. Early bird or night owl?  Night owl and Early Bird…..who needs sleep?
9. Chocolate or vanilla?  Chocolate is for chocolate only…..ice cream and cake VANILLA
10. Introvert or extrovert?  Introvert (surprised??)
11. Hugs or kisses? Hugs
12. Hunting or fishing?  Neither…..who has time for that?
13. Winter or summer? I love my seasons.  ALL of them.  I can’t pick.  I like them all for different reasons.
14. Spring or fall?  See above
15. Rural or urban? I appreciate both, but I’m probably more of a rural girl in an urban world….does that make sense?
16.  PC or Mac?  Mac and since the hubs has the apple logo tattooed on him, I think I’m stuck!
17. Tan or pale?  Tan in the summer.  Pale in the winter.  The way I am naturally.  I spent my high school/college days in a tanning bed…..I haven’t set foot in one in 12 years and don’t plan on it ever again!
18. Cake or pie?  Cake if I have to choose….I’d rather have cookies or brownies.
19. Ice cream or yogurt?  BOTH!!!!!!
20. Ketchup or mustard?  Depends on what I’m using it for.  BOTH!
21. Sweet pickles or dill pickles?  Dill, but I like an occasional sweet gherkin or bread and butter
22. Comedy or mystery? Comedy, but I do like a good mystery on occasion.
23. Boots or sandals?  BOOTS!
24. Silver or gold? Gold!  Especially Rose Gold!
25. Jazz or classical? Jazz
26. Dancing or singing?  You can’t have one without the other.  It’s really hard for me to not move when I sing……I guess I don’t always sing when I dance, though.
27. Checkers or chess? Checkers…..Chess is WAY too complicated
28. Board games or video games? Board games.  
29. Wine or beer?  Neither…..ewwww gross, especially beer!
30. Freckles or dimples?  freckles
31. Honey mustard or BBQ sauce?  Honey Mustard…YUM!  BBQ is gross!
32. Body weight exercises or lifting weights?  Body weight.  
33. Baseball or basketball?  Baseball.
34. Crossword puzzles or sudoku? sodoku 
35. Facial hair or clean shaven?  Answering carefully 😉  It depends on the guy….I like a little scruff.
36. Crushed ice or cubed ice?  Crushed.  preferably the chewy crushed ice from Hucks!
37. Skiing or snowboarding?  I’ll hang out by the fire with my hot chocolate and fuzzy socks.
38. Smile or game face?  Smile, but I can put a game face on when I have to.
39. Bracelet or necklace? Necklace.  Bracelets get in my way
40. Fruit or vegetables?  Veggies
41. Sausage or bacon?  Bacon.
42. Scrambled or fried? Scrambled.
43. Dark chocolate or white chocolate? Dark.
44. Tattoos or piercings?  Again, answering this one carefully….For Me:  I have a small tattoo on my rib cage.  If I get another, it will be in a place that I can easily cover.  It also has to be tasteful and meaningful.  I’m not putting Mickey Mouse on my body.   I have some piercings.  My ears, belly button, and recently a nose stud.  There are no more holes in my future.  For Others:  If you like it…..go for it!  No judgement from me!  I prefer my guy without facial piercings, though……..;-) (he knows my feelings)
45. Antique or brand new?  Antique for some things, but my overall preference would be more new.
46. Dress up or dress down? I love a good reason to dress up!
47. Cowboys or aliens?  cowboys.
48. Cats or dogs? Dogs. I don’t do cats.
49. Pancakes or waffles?  pancakes.
50. Bond or Bourne? Bond
51. Sci-Fi or fantasy? Fantasy.
52. Numbers or letters?  Numbers.
53. Star Wars or Star Trek?  Star Wars. Star Trek is weird!
54. Fair or theme park? Well….. Carny’s give me the heebee geebeez…..So theme park!  Preferably DISNEY
55. Money or fame?  money
56. Washing dishes or doing laundry? Laundry. I’m the only one allowed to do laundry in my house.  Don’t touch it!  It’s mine!  You can do ALL the dishes.
57. Snakes or sharks?  ummmm…….sharks?  from a distance
58. Orange juice or apple juice?  apple
59. Sunrise or sunset? Sunset .
60. Slacker or over-achiever? Over-achiever and skilled procrastinator.
61. Pen or pencil?  Pen if it’s smooth glide.
62. Peanut butter or jelly?  Peanut butter…..just peanut butter!
63. Grammys or Oscars? Tonys.
64. Detailed or abstract? Detailed.
65. Multiple choice questions or essay questions? Essays…..I’m way to expressive for multiple choice.  There’s always more to add.
66. Adventurous or cautious?  Cautious.
67. Saver or spender?  Both.…..I’m a disciplined spender.  =)
68. Glasses or contacts? Contacts.  When I wear my glasses, I feel frumpy
69. Laptop or desktop?  I use both
70. Classic or modern? Classic with a modern twist.
71. Personal chef or personal fitness trainer? Oh. I need both?  Please?
72. Internet or cell phone?  Do I have to pick?  I think I’d pick internet.  I can get ahold of people via internet without my phone.
73. Call or text? Text. I have kids.  If you call, we will be interrupted.
74. Curly hair or straight hair? A little wave.
75. Shower in the morning or shower in the evening? In the morning.
76. Spicy or mild? a little spice.
77. Marvel or DC? DC?  What’s that?
78. Paying a mortgage or paying rent? Mortgage for sure. 
79. Sky dive or bungee jump? NEVER
80. Oreos or Chips Ahoy? BOO! No gluten for me.  If I could, Oreos.
81. Jello or pudding?   pudding.
82. Truth or dare?   truth.
83. Roller coaster or Ferris wheel? If I have to pick, ferris wheel, but don’ t you dare rock it when we get stuck at the top!
84. Leather or denim?  Denim.
85. Stripes or solids? Stripes.
86. Bagels or muffins? Darn gluten!  But, I’d pick bagels toasted with cream cheese.
87. Whole wheat or white? Whole wheat.
88. Beads or pearls? Pearls
89. Hardwood or carpet? Hardwood.
90. Bright colors or neutral tones? depends on my mood….I lean toward neutrals, though!
91. Be older than you are or younger than you are?  younger
92. Raisins or nuts? raisins.
93. Picnic or nice restaurant? nice restaurant.  picnic means bugs.
94. Black leather or brown leather? Brown leather.
95. Long hair or short hair? I’ve been growing mine, but I’m about ready to chop it off!
96. “Ready, aim, fire” or “Ready, fire, aim”? Ready, aim, fire.
97. Fiction or non-fiction?   Non-fiction
98. Smoking or non-smoking? Non. Non, non, non!
99. Think before you talk or talk before you think? Think before I talk.  At least I try.
100. Asking questions or answering questions? Both!
