10 Easter Basket Ideas

Teen/Tween BOY

We all know teenagers can be super difficult to buy for. They have their own ideas and opinions about everything! To make things even harder…..what if it’s a BOY you’re trying to shop for…..dun dun duuuuuuuu!

Well, you’re in luck! I have a super difficult to shop for teenage boy of my own. To be honest, a lot of this list won’t even apply to him! I also have a not quite adult boy in the air-force, but he’s past the Easter basket stage. I’ve created a list to help you make a basket (or basket fillers) for your teen boys….

Easter Basket Ideas
Teen Tween Boy

1. MONEY

Let’s be real folks. Kids want money. I know….generic, boring, not creative. Make it creative. Fill plastic eggs with coins and bills. A little here and a little there really adds up. Make them be a kid. Hunt for their money! I guarantee you that they will join the family egg hunt if there’s money at stake!

2. Gift Cards

This is another easy way out, but again….it’s what they want! Xbox, iTunes, Steam, Game Stop, Jimmy Johns, Subway, Movies, even Walmart or Target! I promise they won’t be disappointed!

3. Snacks

Boys like snacks! What’s their favorite that they don’t get very often? Candy, Gum, Jerky, Popcorn, Chips… Go to Costco and get the bulk pack of whatever they like! Make sure everyone in the family knows that they aren’t allowed to touch it!!!

4. Sports Equipment

Do they play baseball? How about a bucket of balls or some glove oil. Maybe a new basketball, or if you like to go big a new hoop! When the kids were little they usually got their first bike for Easter. A stock pile of pellets for the air-soft or extra darts. I know we go through those things FAST! Especially pellets. We also have a 3 year old that likes to dump the pellets and watch them scatter all over everywhere (#jesustakethewheel)

5. Socks/Underwear

I’m not my mom, I’m not my mom, I’m not my mom……I’m my mom!!!! I hated when my mom would stuff new socks and underwear in Easter eggs! HATED IT! I guess it’s just tradition now. It doesn’t seem like Easter if the kids don’t get new socks and underwear. Thanks mom!

6. Books/Podcast/Music

Do you have a reader? Try a fresh new title or magazine. Maybe they like to listen music and need new earbuds. A new phone case.

7. Personal Products

You know they will blush, but they also really want to start being a man! Get them some “manly” body wash or body spray. If they are starting to get a little mustache, a new razor and shave cream. Of course, we like our products as nontoxic as possible so we shop here. I’d love to help you start your shopping account, too!

8. Back Pack/Sack

Kids these days always need extra bags. I think this would be a great stray from the traditional Easter Basket. Stuff a new backpack or back sack instead. My kids all love the back sack. Is that even what you call it? Cinch Sack? I don’t know….. Easy to throw a few things in and they take up zero storage space. Make it unique. Favorite sports team, favorite brand, make it fun!

9. Ball Caps

You could use this as the basket, too. Especially if you want to keep things to a minimum! Maybe a new hat for their school or favorite team. Find some merch from your church.

10. Clothes

I know, I know. Most boys could care less about clothes, but you’d be surprised. There is usually at least one item that they want to add to their closet. Maybe it’s a new hoodie or the latest pair of Vans. Maybe all their friends have Adidas joggers. I bet there is something!

Lots Of Other Options

This is just a list to get you started. We really try to keep Easter pretty simple around here. I mean, it’s really all about Jesus! We always get a new outfit to wear to church as a family. It’s about the only time I can get my boy to coordinate with us. I hope I can keep this matchy matchy tradition going forever! We always do a loose change egg hunt and then add in some random outdoor things (bubbles/chalk/hula hoop/etc). Obviously the teens aren’t down with that anymore so they will get something small instead.

I hope this list helps you. You can check out my amazon store favorites for these ideas and more for teen boys, teen girls, and littles.

Oh wow. I’m Polish and even though I have lived in North America for the last two years, I had no clue you guys put gifts in Easter baskets! That’s quite a discovery for me. Thanks for sharing!

What great ideas! I remember our baskets being almost exclusively candy growing up. It makes me wonder if we were hard to find gifts for, lol.

I think my parents treated Easter like a lite Christmas when I was a kid. Now, I was an only, but it was fun and has made me try and continue the tradition
