My Morgan needed a birthday gift for a friend recently. Little Miss Creative came up with the coolest gift! I also let her know that I’d better be getting an awesome birthday/mother’s day present or I was gonna feel like chopped liver! HA!
How to Create Your Box of Sunshine
- Gather all things yellow
- Find a good box that you can paint or cover with scrapbook paper
- Decorate the box….inside and out
- Fill box with yellow tissue paper or Easter grass
- Write some notes for the receiver to open at specific times (when sad, happy, lonely, angry, etc…)
- Seal the box and give to your special friend….or MOM!

I’m sure you can think of lots of yellow things and the items will vary depending on the person. You could always change up the color, too. Instead of a box of sunshine, you could do a box of love (red/pink), for example. Make it specific to your needs. I just thought this was an awesome gift idea…and fairly cheap! Hello Dollar Tree!!!!
