See Ya 2018

I can’t say I’m sad to see 2018 come to an end. To be completely honest with you, it sucked! That’s not to say there weren’t some wonderful things that happened this year. Just seems the yuck outweighed the good and I’m ready to leave this year behind!

Let’s Start with the GOOD

The kids had a wonderful year! They have done amazing in school and are continuing to build new friendships! Julianne is trying to hold onto being a “kid”. I hope she holds on a little while longer. Morgan has thrived in her dancing this year. When we moved, we set her up at Renee Johnson’s Dance Studio. After a year of growth, she decided she wanted to audition for the competition team!! We allowed her to try out for the “mini team” and she made it!!!!! She also danced for the middle school pom squad! Andrew has turned into a full blown teenager on me……Mom is chopped liver, but I love to watch him grow! He’s been working with a high school band member with his drums and they have formed quite the bond. Dax is growing like a week and making us laugh daily. I was able to meet some new photography clients and start rebuilding my business. I’ve also really learned a lot about myself and just “survival”.

The Awful

Honestly, when I think about it, it wasn’t THAT bad…..It could have been a lot worse. I had a lot of personal stuff to deal with that made for some pretty tough days. I spent most of the year in complete survival mode. I spent so much time in doctor offices, labs, and hospitals. I’m glad they were there for me, but I don’t want to see another one anytime soon…… All of that health “stuff” can leave a girl feeling pretty defeated. I could go on and tell you the rest, but I’d rather just focus on the new year! Leave 2018 behind.

Bring it on 2019

I’m ready to close the book on 2018. I’m not where I want to be for 2019, BUT I’ve got plans to get there! Here are some things on the docket for 2019……

  • get back in shape….all the health crud really did a number on me. This one is going to take some time since I’m still not 100%….
  • Home decor!!! This one I’m excited about. I have my first project planned out and can’t wait to share with you!
  • Photography Business growth
  • Continue educating on health and wellness…This kinda goes with get back in shape.
  • Start opening up about the challenges and celebrations of a big blended family…..this one is the hard one. So much to share, but such a fine line to walk. My goal is to help other blended families, not to throw anyone under the bus in our family.

Stay tuned!!! I can’t wait to start 2019 on the right foot! It’s going to be a great year!
